Zayn Forced To Leave One Direction Tour

Poor Zayn Malik; the young singer has been forced to leave his fellow One Directioners in Canada and head home due to a death in the                  

Zayn  hasn't released any details on the loss but his bandmate, harry Styles, has explained his friend's sudden disappearance via Twitter:

“Zayn has suffered a loss in his family & has had to go home for a few days so won’t be at our next shows in the US… Our thoughts are with him and his family at this sad time.”

Oh dear, we bet this was a nasty bump back to Earth for young Zayn; the boys have been busy living the American dream as they tour the States with Big Time Rush and, only this morning, we were reporting how Toronto had been forced to close the streets to accommodate all of the obsessed 1D fans.

And, in true "directioner" spirit, the fans have taken to Twitter in the masses to show their support for the absent bandmate. “#StayStrongZayn" has quickly become a trending topic and, hopefully, the thoughtful words will help comfort Zayn in this difficult time.

Malik has been quoted as having turned to religion to help him with his grief:

“God has no Phone, but I talk to him. He has no Facebook, but he is still my friend. He does not have a twitter, but I still follow him. ♥”

This news has made our hearts very heavy - we kept One Direction in our minds as the exuberant bouncy boys who shot to fame on The X Factor; we forgot that they were still real people with real lives outside their dizzying success.

We don't know how long Malik will be absent from the tour but, hopefully, it will only be a temporary leave. We're sure the rest of the fab five will miss their friend while he's gone and will be there for him when he returns.

Harry Styles, 'Put Brit Award In My Toilet'

Harry Styles on Brit Award: 'I'll put it on display in my toilet. You don't want to put it somewhere too show-offy, like in the hall or on your mantelpiece, so if you put it in the bathroom everyone's going to have to go in there at some point anyway! We just can't believe how lucky we've been. We are so grateful for the opportunities we've been given, and to win a Brit Award already.

Basically Radio One have supported us a lot from the start and in the heat of the moment I forgot to thank Capital, but we have thanked them now. We are just so busy, and we didn't want to rush it, we want to make it a really amazing Arena show and get the whole performance right. We haven't broken America yet, there's still a lot of work to do, but of course it is exciting. I don't get to go home all that much, but when I do I just hand out with my friends and do normal suff like going to watch a film. But I wouldn't change what I do now for anything, I have an amazing life. It's ok, but a bit weird for my family. They have to have the curtains closed most of the time.'

Chart sensations One Direction, who play the LG Arena in Birmingham next month, tell Alison Jones it will be their first visit to the Second City when they will be old enough to go out drinking.

THEY’VE got a Brit award for best single, a song climbing the US charts and invites to all the best celebrity parties.

But until now they’ve been too young to paint the town red.

One Direction singer Liam Payne, who comes from Wolverhampton, admits he wouldn’t know where to start.

“Boozing in Brum?” he shrugs. “I wouldn’t know where to go. I only turned 18 last August.

“I’ve never been 18 in Birmingham long enough to know where the best places are. I’ve always been too young.

“You’ll have to educate me on that one,” he says. “Maybe the Sunday Mercury can take us for a night out?”

Now youngest member Harry Styles has just turned 18, they’ll all be legal to hit the pubs and clubs.

The bottles of booze and Champagne that littered their table at the BRITS might have been the reason why they fluffed their thank yous after snatching the best single award away from under the noses of Adele and JLS.

“We hadn’t got a speech prepared,” admits Liam. “That’s why I was talking so slowly on stage, just trying to remember everybody

“Apparently we didn’t include our parents so we had to put out a tweet for them.

“I met Chris Martin from, Coldplay. That was quite scary for me. The music was loud and I don’t think he could quite hear me so it was one of those awkward moments. But Chris Martin knew who I was, so I was happy.”

One Direction will be back in Birmingham on March 22 next year, when they’ll headline the LG Arena. Fans are in such a state of excited anticipation that they camped out overnight to snap up tickets yesterday.

One Direction sell out UK Tour tickets within 30 Minutes - New Dates Added

One Direction have confirmed their status as the hottest boyband in the Britain right now after tickets for their 2013 UK tour sold-out within minutes this morning – including the extra dates which were announced less than an hour ago.

The X-Factor group have quickly become one of the UK’s most popular groups, with their debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ hitting #1 last September and their record ‘Up All Night’ becoming the quickest-selling debut album of 2011. After a sold-out UK tour not too long ago, and a hugely-anticipated US tour alongside Big Time Rush in the near future, the boys decided to announced a fresh tour of the country at the BRIT Awards on Tuesday – which also saw them pick up the award for Best British Single.

Big Time Rush One Direction Pre Show Pix

From Sophie: This was at the Rosemont Theater here in Chicago. Both BTR and One Direction were performing. Me and my friends were there yesterday from 10 am to 10pm. We were in the back hoping they'd come and say hi to us. We had no tickets, sadly. BTR were so friendly! They were really sweet too, they came by took picture with their fans talked to us, they were amazing. One Direction came out from the car said hi to us then went inside, management didn't allow them so greet us outside. ): They are such beautiful boys! So talented too! The fans made their tour bus stop! There were so many of us that they couldn't get out! They were laughing from the window and looking at us!

NOTE: Fans waited outside Manchester Arena for 40 hours to get tickets! Fan, 'It has not been too cold. We just all love One Direction, they are spectacular and perfect.. We have got quilts and blankets and our pyjamas and sleeping bags. I would freeze for One Direction, they are so worth it. It will be two nights of camping out for us but we have brought chairs, sleeping bags and food. We just wanted to be near the front because we love One Direction.'

Harry buys a £575,000 flat

Ker-ching! Hear that, folks? That’s Harry Styles’ bank account. It’s full, you see! Thankfully Harry Styleshas been good enough to free some of the cold hard cash in there by buying himself a new home – a £575,000 home, in East London to be precise. All right for some, eh? 

But getting his own pad means that sadly Hazza will have to ditch the rented apartments he shared with the rest of the One Direction boys in North London. Meaning there will be no more wild parties late into the night and a lot less group FIFA Sunday sessions (we imagine).

A source told The Sun, “Harry has enjoyed his time in the One Direction apartments but feels it's time he got his own space. He's made loads of money and has been encouraged to invest it — rather than splash out on things. He also knows the flat will impress girls. It's pretty special."

Yeah right. Like Harry “charmer” Styles needed a swanky new flat to get the ladies interested – from what we saw at The Brit Awards after-parties, he managed that just by existing! And, er, as Jessie J says, "it ain't about the price tag".

One Direction arrive in Chicago with pimples and cuddly toys One Direction arrives

   One Direction arrived in Chicago last night to start an American promotional tour for their upcoming album, Up All Night.

And, um, how do we say this? Okay, deep breaths...they looked young. Don't get us wrong, we've always known they're not old and passed it - don't be ridiculous - but look at these pictures!

Niall, 18, is carrying a cuddly toy giraffe. A cuddly toy giraffe. He was probably given it by a fan, but still, it kind of suits him.            

And Harry, 18, has pimples! We all have pimples, but for some reason Harry's make him look like he should be back at school and not bunking off to travel the world and be a pop star.

The fans who greeted them at the airport didn't seem to mind though. They'd probably love Niall to bring a cuddly toy along on a date. Nice conversation-starter.

The only two not looking like proper teenagers were Liam, who is also 18, but for some reason looks about 30, and Louis Tomlinson, who at 20 is pretty much the granddad of the group.

     

     

Zayn, 18, was doing a proper grumpy teenager slouch. He tweeted yesterday, "So we're going away for a bit now, but we will be back soon! gna miss all of our amazing uk fans xx" and Niall added, "Chicago buddie ! lovely place ! the home of barrack obama [sic]".
