One Direction Shares Secrets You Might Soon See On The Big Screen

Mainstream morning shows continue to capitalize on the One Direction craze, with major network’s interviews from along their North American tour route becoming aweekly programming stapleGood Morning America is the latest to sit down with the boys, catching up with them in Chicago over the weekend. The boys seemed to have adopted some of that Midwestern hospitality, as they provided ABC correspondent and certified Cool Dad Cameron Mathison with some important, exclusive information never heard of before:
  • Liam broke his toe last week! The injury occurred via the very unsexy and uninteresting way of dropping a Macbook Pro on his foot—who let him handle such heavy machinery?–but still, do send flowers.
  • Zayn likes to pose as a “Bradford bad boy,” but will really cry at Nicholas Sparks movies with you.
  • Niall speaks great Spanish, leaving the door open for him to take over The Manuel Ortiz Show when Fred Armisen decides to leave Saturday Night Live.
Still rolling in the cash from the release of their Up All Night tour DVD last week, U.K. mag The Sun is now reporting that the boys are nearing a deal to bring their increasingly iconic mugs and songs to the big screen. ”It’s early days but it’s something that their management and label are excited about,” said the source, who added it could potentially be a concert film, like that of Never Say Never or Katy Perry’s Part of Me, or a scripted “caper” similar to The Beatles and Monkees films of the 1960s. The project is still untitled and without a script, but reportedly eying a release date of November 8, 2013. Remember, 1D does like to plan ahead.
Either way, start thinking of song title that also works as an inspirational personal mantra. Wee’d go with “One Direction: Stand Up.” ”The film could be exciting. My hair would be poking in your eye,” explained Harry. True, Sir Styles, among other things. What? Making 3D body part jokes is an equal opportunity endeavor.
